ABOUT DOC BROWN’S BBQ

Founded in 2013, David Brown and his wife, Krista, saw the need for an incredible, authentic, delicious BBQ joint in the heart of Candler, North Carolina, just a couple minutes outside of Asheville.

David has always had a love for cooking, and all things BBQ, and wanted to bring that love of BBQ to his adopted hometown of Candler, NC. Located just minutes from Asheville, Doc Brown’s BBQ offers some of the most mouth-watering, flavorful BBQ and sides that North Carolina barbeque has to offer. We serve barbecue, ribs, and tender brisket, 100% wood smoked, every single day, by David himself, on the big smoker outside Doc Brown’s. When it comes to sides, you’ll have a hard time deciding between the potato salad, macaroni and cheese pie, the collard greens— and all the other fresh, delicious options!

When you walk into Doc Brown’s, you’re greeted by our friendly servers and our big chalkboard menu! You might catch a whiff of our chefs cooking up fresh sides and serving up in-house-smoked BBQ. Your food will be brought out to you quickly, while you’re kicked back enjoying your ice-cold local beer, sweet tea, or Coca-Cola product with your family or friends. And after you’ve got a full belly and have recovered from a nap, the only thought on your mind as you leave will be when you can return to do it all over again!
